About Nicola

The landscape of Pembrokeshire - its coast of cliffs, expansive skies, sheltered inlets and its often-untouched interior lands and old buildings - is both subject and catalyst in my work.

Drawing directly within it allows me to absorb its rhythms, structures and quiet sense of permanence. These drawings carry the physical and emotional memory of place back to the studio, where they become the foundations for transformation.
